TERRITORY : The Roero
Roero is a geographic region of Piedmont , located in the northeastern part of the province of Cuneo. It takes its name from the family of the same name - or that of the Roero that since the medieval period and for several centuries ruled over this territory.
The Roero area is predominantly hilly and is mainly cultivated with orchards and vineyards. The fortresses , on which was built a castle or a country is built , are a distinctive feature of the landscape.
The two main centers of Roero Bra (considered the historic capital of the Roero ) and Channel .

The Roero is well known for the production of high quality wines including the Roero , Roero Arneis , Roero Arneis Spumante , Roero higher.
The territory like the nearby Langhe is also a popular tourist destination in the field of cultural and eno- gastonomico for the many castles and ancient villages that dot its small territory .
The ancient village of Craviano or "Cyprian " is located on a hill north - west of Govone and on top of the hill , for centuries , in a picturesque location is the Chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie , which immediately brings to mind the little church of father Christopher of "The Betrothed" in Pescarenico .
